A former Harvard Business School professor, Jim Ware spent his entire career helping organizations invent their own futures by exploring and interpreting the changing nature of work, the workforce, technology, and the workplace.

Jim held senior management positions at several leading-edge professional services firms, including Nolan, Norton & Company, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Unisys Corporation. He also served for several years as the Executive Director of the Fisher Center for Technology and Management at the University of California, Berkeley.

He spent eighteen years as executive producer of The Future of Work…unlimited, a research and advisory service that created visions of the future and guided the redesign of work practices to leverage new and emerging digital technologies.

Jim was a co-author and lead writer of several dozen books and sponsored research projects that provided guidance to corporate executives for competing in a flat, global economy, managing knowledge workers, and orchestrating strategic conversations in the digital age.

Jim holds Ph.D., M.A., and B.Sc. degrees from Cornell University and an MBA (With Distinction) from the Harvard Business School. He currently resides in Walnut Creek, California, where he is a sustainability activist, a struggling golfer, and an avid student of the future.
